  • Experiential Learning Grants https://www.mcdaniel.edu/academics/career-services-experiential-opportunities/career-services/nationally-competitive Are you planning to engage in internships, conferences, study abroad, research, or other experiential learning opportunities but need the funds to do so? McDaniel offers a variety of internal grants and awards to support your out-of-classroom experiences 
     
  • Summer Intern Fellowship https://www.mcdaniel.edu/academics/career-services-experiential-opportunities/internships/summer-intern-fellowship The Center for Experience & Opportunity (CEO) sponsors a limited number of competitive need-based summer intern fellowship awards designed to help defray the cost of summer internships. Students can apply for support of International Summer Internships.
     
  • Global Fellows Grants Interested students should meet with Dr Amy McNichols amcnichols@mcdaniel.edu McDaniel's prestigious Global Fellows Program is an academic and co-curricular opportunity to deepen and broaden your understanding of global issues, develop heightened intercultural competency, and cultivate the skills and attitudes necessary to lead successful personal and professional lives in a global context. Funding is often available to support members’ study abroad.

  • The Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program https://www.iie.org/programs/gilman-scholarship-program/ Specifically supporting undergrads that want to study abroad but face financial constraints in addition to those that have traditionally been under-represented as well as those in underrepresented fields, this includes but is not limited to STEM. The program encourages students to choose non-traditional locations, especially those outside of Western Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.
  • Fund For Education Abroad Scholarships https://fundforeducationabroad.org/apply/instructions/ Committed to increasing opportunities for dedicated American students to participate in high quality, rigorous education abroad programs by providing financial assistance. The Fund For Education Abroad Scholarships otherwise known as the FEA also has several dedicated scholarships such as the Rainbow Scholarship for members of the LGBT community.                                                                          
  • First Trip Scholarships https://www.firsttrip.org/first-trip-scholarship First Trip strives to increase diversity in study abroad and international affairs by alleviating inequitable barriers for underrepresented college students to travel abroad for the first time and pursue global careers. First Trip scholars pursue meaningful study abroad trips to countries in Latin America, Africa, South Asia, and Eastern Europe. First Trip scholars become global citizens who add exceptional value to their learning environments and professional organizations!
  • Boren Awards For International Study https://www.borenawards.org/ Support U.S. students who study abroad in areas of the world that are critical to U.S. interests and are typically underrepresented in study abroad. Represent a wide variety of academic backgrounds but are all interested in learning less commonly taught languages. This includes but is not limited to Arabic, Chinese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, and Swahili.
  • The Critical Language Scholarship Program https://clscholarship.org/ Each summer, American undergraduate and graduate students enrolled at U.S. colleges and universities across the country, spend eight to ten weeks learning one of thirteen languages at an intensive study abroad institute. The CLS Program is designed to promote rapid language gains and essential intercultural fluency in regions that are critical to U.S. national security and economic prosperity. 
  • DAAD Scholarships https://www.daad.de/en/study-and-research-in-germany/scholarships/daad-scholarships/ Every year, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) supports well over 100,000 German and international students and researchers around the globe – making it the world’s largest funding organization of its kind. Aimed primarily at graduates, doctoral students and are awarded for study and research visits to universities and non-university research institutions in Germany.
  • The Humanity in Action Fellowship https://humanityinaction.org/fellowship/ The Humanity in Action Fellowships explore issues of social justice, human rights, politics of memory and remembrance culture, and civic engagement. They look at the ways in which communities co-exist to create a pluralistic society, and the structural challenges arising from asymmetrical power dynamics. Fellowship program cities – Amsterdam, Berlin, Copenhagen, or Washington, D.C.
  • The Fulbright U.S. Student Program https://us.fulbrightonline.org/fulbright-us-student-program In partnership with more than 140 countries worldwide, the Fulbright U.S. Student Program offers unparalleled opportunities in all academic disciplines to passionate and accomplished graduating college seniors, graduate students, and young professionals from all backgrounds. Program participants pursue graduate study, conduct research, or teach English abroad.
